Thurgood Marshall |
Who was he?
Born in Baltimore, Thurgood Marshall was a lawyer. He attended Lincoln University before earning a law degree from Howard University. As part of the NAACP, he then grew his experience in law by representing clients who's cases fought against racial injustice. This got him quickly involved with the Civil Rights Movement. He got involved in a total of thirty-two Supreme Court cases and came out victorious in twenty-nine of those thirty-two (History).

What was he famous for?From Marshall's law carer, he accomplished many feats. Though, out of all the court cases he was involved in, his most historically altering accomplishment was his success in the Brown v. Board of Education. Because of this, all schools in the country were ordered to be desegregated. Thurgood Marshall's highest accomplishment was in 1967 when he was appointed a position into the Supreme Court by President Lyndon B. Johnson (History).
